The NEXGEN Foundation is a non-profit, non-governmental entity that is established as a charitable corporation with a principal purpose to transform the next generation through mentorship programs.
Transforming Potential Into Influence In Society.
The NEXGEN Foundation seeks to transform young people’s potential into positive application in society. By applying their energy into positivity, productivity will be imperative. With intentional mentorship programs, we will be able to achieve the said result. Due to the economic pressure, peer pressure, identity pressure and the access to the negative content/influence on the world wide web, most young people have sort for solutions in crime, substance abuse and the rattling effect has been catastrophic. Mental health: Suicides, increase in violence, depression and substance abuse et al has been rampant. With the global crisis in economies during the pandemic, unemployment and change in life has left many devastated slowly drifting into mental health issues.
Where does that leave us?
We can either standby and watch or do something about it. The NEXGEN Foundation, wants to be part of a solution. We seek to create awareness, provide care and advice on real solutions to the real issues that we face in our generation and more so in our nation by partnering with like minded people who want to be part of a solution. The precipitating cause of the results are due to lack of intentional mentorship programs to the young generation.
- To educate, promote, protect and advance the communal interests of the members of the society in ensuring a safe and congenial living environment.
- To contribute to the maintenance of attainable living standards in the society by promoting social and economic activities aimed at improving the lifestyle of the society morally and financially through education, mentorship and entrepreneurship in the following Pillars.
- To support youth entrepreneurship, the poor in society in various regions with different economic potential and to empower them and promote self-sustaining and self-reliable strategies by providing economic activities aimed at providing and eradicating poverty.
- To better Foundation to the youth through training, counselling by developing good character and good citizenship.
- To prepare the youth for production techniques, investment opportunities, job creation.
- To enter into partnership or into any agreement whether perpetual or terminable for union of interest, joint venture, reciprocal concession or co-operation with any person, firms, association or companies carrying on or engaged in any activities which the foundation is authorised to conduct.
- To build strategic alliances and relationships with kindred Foundations nationally, worldwide and learn from experiences in workshops, seminars, individual discussions, and through published good practice guidelines of different aspects of code implementation with monitoring and verification.
- To carry out civic education and community sensitisation on government programs and policies for nation building.
